Origin: France ( Paris)
Circa: 19th Century
This small solid copper sauce pot was found in a shop of copper and bottles in Les Puces in Paris. The back wall of the shop was covered in hanging pots and the side wall was covered in hanging lids. We first found this perfect little pot and then began the task of finding a matching lid with handle. Neither pot nor lid were coated when we found them, but the kind gentleman running the shop offered to have them both coated so they can be used for cooking. We left our find with him and received the newly coated pair about a month later via La Poste thanks to Danielle, our antiques guide who lives in Paris and weekly visits the market. It is ready for a wonderful sauce.
